“We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.”  Barack Obama, October 25, 2010

Ideologies have consequences.

It matters who governs.

And we are seeing the impact of those words by President Obama as it continues to become more and more clear that the IRS was used to “punish” those whose ideologies differed from the current administration… or should I say regime?

It is also clear that the plan to punish Americans originated in Washington DC, not Cincinnati, Ohio as some have asserted.

The Chattanooga Tea Party along with hundreds of other “conservatives” – both organizations and individuals – were singled out, targeted and subjected to illegal and constitutional intimidation by the government that Abraham Lincoln described as “of the people, by the people and for the people.”

Unfortunately Lincoln’s description no longer fits our federal government.

If we expect that to change, it is up to you and me and millions of other grassroots Americans to stand up, speak out, and restore our limited Constitutional government!

On Wednesday, June 19 citizens from across this nation will gather in Washington DC to protest the IRS’ behavior.  Here are the details:

What: Audit the IRS Rally When: Wednesday, June 19, 2013 from Noon – 2pm Where: West Lawn of the US Capitol

Join us on Wednesday, June 19th at 12pm on the West Lawn of the US Capitol as we come together to rally against the IRS. It’s time that Washington sees first-hand just how outraged the American people are by these discriminatory acts.

In the spirit of what Becky Gerritson of Wetumpka Tea Party so elegantly said in her testimony before the House Ways and Means Committee: “We are patriotic Americans. We peacefully assemble. We petition our government. We exercise our right to free speech and we don’t understand why our government tried to stop us. We aren’t here as serfs or vassals. We’re not begging our lords for mercy. We are born free American citizens and we’re telling our government that you’ve forgotten your place. It’s not your responsibility to look out for our well being and monitor our speech. It’s not your right to assert an agenda. The post that you occupy exists to preserve American liberty. You’ve sworn to perform that duty and you have faltered.”
