Property Tax Alert – Time is Running Out

Dear Friend,

You may often find yourself wondering: How can my local, city, and state governments increase my taxes, pass terrible legislation, or infringe on my rights? How can they create programs and positions that are inefficient, costly, and permanent? Why can’t the government work within a simple budget?

You know, I’ve asked myself the same question, and here’s what I’ve concluded: WE LET THEM! Voter apathy and old-fashioned laziness have gotten us into quite a mess over the past few years.

And, regarding the pending property tax increase, I’m afraid if we don’t act soon, it will likely be too late. You may stand to lose hundreds or even thousands of your hard earned dollars. Chattanooga citizens stand to lose tens of millions.

So here’s what I’d like to ask you to do:

#1 – Please donate at this link: Contributions will go for the following Phase 1 Goals. They are listed in order of importance.

PHASE 1 Tax Opposition

#1 – Mailer w/Return to Recent Voters – 11,591 houses $4,297.10 #2 – Phone calls to Recent Voters $650.00 #3 – Stop the Tax Increase Yard Signs – 300 Signs $600.00 #4 – WGOW Radio Advertising – Two Weeks Heavy $3,260.00

Total $8,807.10

#2 – Arrange a group meeting with your Council Representative. Find 2 or 3 people who oppose the tax increase in your district (perhaps you and your spouse or a close neighbor) and arrange a meeting with your Council Representative face to face.

#3 – Join us at the next city council meeting: Tuesday, June 8th at 6pm (budget meetings are held prior beginning at 2pm): Chattanooga City Council – 1000 Lindsay Street Chattanooga, TN 37402-4233. Telephone: (423) 757-5198

Remember, our individual actions are what culminate in an effective opposition effort. If you’re not personally getting involved, then our effort will not be as strong as it should be.

Please ACT today.

Best Regards,

Brandon Lewis – Tax Payer P.O. Box 4024 Chattanooga, TN 37405 423-313-4624 423-648-4465 Fax
