LOCAL CANDIDATE FORUM HIGHLIGHTS JUNE TEA PARTY MONTHLY MEETING
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (June 19) – Three Tennessee Senate and four Hamilton County Sessions Court Judge candidates will be the feature presenters at this month’s meeting of the Chattanooga Tea Party on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m..
Senate District 10 candidates Todd Gardenhire, Greg Vital and David Testerman will make separate pitches to voters in one segment, and Sessions Court candidates David Norton, Ron Powers, Gary Starnes and Joe DeGaetano will do the same in another segment. Time will also be allotted for attendees to ask questions during the forum, and candidates will be available after the program so attendees can discuss any individual concerns with them.
The meeting will take place at The Century Club Banquet Hall, 3221 Harrison Pike (off Access Road, just south of the Highway 153-Amnicola Highway intersection, next to The Lighting Gallery).
“It’s often hard for citizens to find out what they want about candidates for local offices,” said Chattanooga Tea Party President Mark West. “Individual candidates frequently speak to local civic groups, but you have a hard time comparing one candidate to another unless you have the opportunity to see them together. We think candidate forums like this are a great way for citizens to find out what local candidates think about the issues people care about.”
Media are invited to cover this and all Chattanooga Tea Party monthly membership meetings.
Attendees are asked to RSVP to Chattanooga Tea Party’s Facebook page (link at ChattanoogaTeaParty.com). Donations will be accepted at the event to help defray costs.
The Chattanooga Tea Party is a non-partisan grassroots organization seeking to educate and inform its members and the public at large of the fundamental issues and struggles our country is facing.
