CHATTANOOGA TEA PARTY SPONSORS 3rd DISTRICT CANDIDATES DEBATE JUNE 23
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Apr. 26) – Congressman Chuck Fleishmann will meet challengers Weston Wamp and Ron Bhalla in a debate of congressional candidates for Tennessee’s 3rd District on Saturday, June 23, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Woodland Park Baptist Church. The debate will be free and open to the public.
Candidate Scottie Mayfield was invited and declined to attend.
Mr. Fleishmann has served the 3rd District in the U.S. House of Representatives since taking his oath in January 2011.
“The debate will likely focus a little on Chuck’s voting record as well as the qualifications and experience of the other candidates,” said Chattanooga Tea Party president Mark West. “Each of these candidates have, in their own ways, stepped up to stake out policy positions. We want to highlight these policy differences, as well as any agreements, to help educate voters about the choices they will face in the August 2 Republican primary.”
Attendees are asked to submit questions and RSVP to the Chattanooga Tea Party’s Facebook page (link at ChattanoogaTeaParty.com).
The Chattanooga Tea Party is a non-partisan grassroots organization seeking to educate and inform its members and the public at large of the fundamental issues our country is facing. We are committed to energizing voters to become engaged in the process of solving the nation’s problems.
