Bruce Cook, Chairman and CEO of Citizens for Restoring America’s Financial Future, Inc. (CRAFF), will discuss the “one cent solution” to the uncontrolled growth of the national debt at the Chattanooga Tea Party’s monthly membership meeting on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
The meeting will take place at the Century Club Banquet Hall, 3221 Harrison Pike (off Access Road, just south of the Highway 153-Amnicola Highway intersection, next to The Lighting Gallery).
The One Cent Solution is simple: If the government cuts just one cent out of every dollar of its total spending each year for six years, we can:
•Balance the budget by 2019.
•Reduce federal spending by $7.5 trillion over 10 years.
The One Percent Spending Reduction Act, known as the “Penny Plan” on Capitol Hill, was introduced by Congressman Connie Mack in the House and Senator Mike Enzi in the Senate, and achieves the goals of the One Cent Solution developed by CRAFF.
Cook is also the founder and chief executive officer of Choosing the Best Publishing, LLC, based in Atlanta, GA. He has served as CEO for various national companies in the healthcare, publishing and management consulting fields. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of Rapha, a national health care organization and chief executive officer of Leadership Dynamics International. He has also served as a member of management task forces for AT&T, United Airlines and Coca-Cola.
Cook has authored three books and has been interviewed by CNN, CBS Evening News, ABC News and the Wall Street Journal network. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
